About ClutterCraft

An architect reviewing drawings on site

ClutterCraft covers residential architecture, renovation, interiors, and the materials that hold it all together. We write about real projects — houses, renovations, and the trades behind them — rather than trends dressed up as news.

The magazine started from a simple frustration: most design coverage either oversimplifies construction into a mood board, or buries it in specification jargon nobody outside the trade can use. We try to write for people who actually want to understand how a building goes together, whether they're planning a renovation or just curious.

“We'd rather explain why a wall works than tell you it's beautiful and leave it there.”

What we cover

New residential projects, renovation case studies, interior design trends grounded in how rooms are actually used, and the building materials shaping how houses go up.

How we report

We talk to the architects, builders, and material specialists behind each project, and we're specific about methods, dimensions, and trade-offs rather than settling for a mood.
